Some moons are just so sleepy.
I am an insomniac but in this Balsamic Moon
I’m sleeping long hours (my husband is getting ME out of bed)
and still feeling tired and sleepy as I work.
And I must work this moon, as we have a deadline.
So, no sugar, no carbs, just protein and veggies and a little fruit, cross crawls,
and basil and rosemary to stay awake *yawn*

What is a Balsamic Moon?

Good question! I said it loosely, but it occurs during the dark-of-the-moon, which is the three or four days before the new moon. I was born in a Balsamic Moon, astrologically, which as i understand it is when the Moon is less than 45 degrees behind the natal Sun. I’m not an astrologer, and eventually want to have a good astrologer write this post (because working with lunar energies is a much more grounded practice and not necessarily connected to astrology.). I understand that in my case it allowed me to be comfortable with shadow material or unknowns, and is also a boost, so to speak, in a person;’s chart to make a commitment to living their destiny. In my case it was about (or so I was told when my chart was done) being ahead of collective events or trends. I have found that to be true! Of course, it will also support deep healing and rest, as it is in the dark of the moon, just before the New Moon.

That is fascinating! I had never heard the term before and would not have guessed it had an astrological connotation. Nice to have an association with deep healing and rest!
